Why Blog?

It has been said that writers are artists. Hence, as artists, we like to find different ways to express ourselves. In our case, our way of expression comes in the form of written text.

I would like all of you to be artists with the freedom to express yourselves in any way that you would like. Every Monday morning, I will post the topic for you to write about. Once you have read my topic, you will need to write your responses on your own blog. Your responses ought to be 2-3 paragraphs in length, but you should not spend more than 30 minutes writing them. Be sure to title each blog entry with "Topic #__:" and then your own title.

Next, you will need to comment on your classmates' blogs. Each student needs to leave a 2-3 sentences comment on two other students' blogs in order to receive credit per week.

Your responses and comments will need to be completed by 5:00 p.m. every Friday. There will be no exception! Therefore, plan on completing this assignment before the Friday deadline in order to ensure that you receive full credit, which will be 10 points for each week. I will be leaving a comment on each blog I read to indicate to you that I have read your blog.

On a final note, these blogs are intended to be fun and to allow you to display your creativity. Be adventurous and express yourselves! Although we may occasionally use some of your blog entries for grammar practice, these blogs are primarily focused on content. Therefore, have fun!

Topic #4: What 4 Things are Most Important to You?

As the question reads, what are four things that are most important to you?  Family?  Friends?  Pet?  Education?  Religion?

For me, the following four things are most important: my faith, my family, my friends, and my job.  I really feel that each of these four "things" have helped build me to be the person that I am today.  Granted, I still have room for improvement, but I consider myself a work in progress.  As I am continuing in this path of progress, I believe that my faith, family, friends, and job are helping me towards that goal.

What about all of you?  I wonder if we share some of the same points.  I look forward to reading your blogs and finding out!
